About The New Moms Club
I'm Dani Reyes, and The New Moms Club started by accident. Fourteen of us met in a birth class, someone made a group chat "just for due dates," and within three months it had become the most useful parenting resource any of us had ever seen — a running, judgment-free record of what actually works when you're brand new at this.
Somewhere past the first year, I started writing it all down. Not the medical stuff — that's what pediatricians are for — but the collective wisdom: the checklists we wish someone had handed us, the visitor scripts that saved holidays, the back-to-work logistics nobody covers in a birth class, and the honest answers to "is it just me?" (It is never just you. That's the whole point of a club.)
Here's how the clubhouse is organized: new mom checklists for the set-it-up-before-you-need-it stage (start with the fourth trimester checklist), mom life logistics for visitors, outings and partner teamwork, real talk roundups of what moms in the club actually say, firsts & milestones for the mom-shaped victories nobody hands out stickers for, and back to work for the leap at the end of leave.
One writing rule keeps us honest: when we say "moms in the club," we mean exactly that — the real experiences of a few dozen women comparing notes, shared as stories, never dressed up as statistics. Where health questions come up, we say the same thing we say in the chat: call your pediatrician or OB. We're the friends, not the doctors.
New here? Start with the sleep lessons the whole club wishes we'd known — it's the post we'd pin to every new member's fridge. Welcome to the club. Your membership was automatic the moment the test came back positive.
